Movies and Shakers was founded and is written by the husband and wife duo Al and Linda Lerner. With decades of media under their respective belts, they have become a Chicago power couple in the film scene.

Al Lerner is a member of Chicago Independent Film Critics Circle and SAG/AFTRA. He and Linda, have been covering film, film festivals and interviewing on Red Carpets to get what you want to know about the movies. Al is known for being a Sports Anchor/Reporter for ABC (WLS- TV News Chicago), and a Feature Reporter for NBC (WMAQ-TV news Chicago). Also recognized as a major radio personality and talk show host on WGN Radio and syndicated on nationally syndicated radio interviewing high profile celebrities in film, entertainment, sports as well as politicians and Presidents. Al is also a Creative for Apple in downtown Chicago.

Linda Lerner is a member of the Chicago Independent Film Critics Circle and the international Women Film Critics Circle. She has been covering film and attending film festivals and Red Carpets with Al for more than a decade. Linda has worked in broadcasting at PBS (WTTW Chicago), KNBC News in LA, WBBM TV News (CBS) in Chicago, as well as for WBBM News Radio. She was a Writer/Producer for music and movie features covering film junkets for the Radio Disney Network. (52 stations nationwide). Linda was also Supervising Producer of “The Happiness Club: Doin’ It Right,” musical TV Special for PBS that won 3 Emmys. She is also co-owner of Linda’s Magic Brownies, a baking business out of Chicago.
